Nigeria international Chuba Akpom has joined Ligue 1 side Lille on loan from Eredivisie giants Ajax, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Thw French club has an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old was unveiled by Lille on Sunday, bringing an end to his spell with Ajax, whom he joined from Middlesbrough in 2023.

Akpom has enjoyed a productive season with Ajax, scoring eight goals in the Eredivisie and registering another four in the UEFA Europa League.
Lille, the former Ligue 1 champions, will be hoping Akpom's goalscoring form can help boost their own domestic and European ambitions.
