There was nothing to separate the two sides who kicked off proceedings after the first match between Edo Queens and Confluence Queens had ended 5-1 in favour of the Benin Arsenals Ladies.

The match at the Samson Siasia Stadium came alive with pulsating moments in both halves, but the two sides eventually settled for a point each.

It was the Easterners who came close to scoring at first when Mary Lucky's effort was ruled out for offside after 5 minutes of action.

14 minutes later, Nasarawa were presented with a glorious opportunity to take the lead after a Heartland defender handled the ball inside the box, but goalkeeper Chukwu Uchenna made  double saves to deny Chinyere Kalu from the spot.

The first half would end goalless leaving Nasarawa to rue their chance of taking the lead.

The second half saw a Nasarawa side that wanted it most, but the Uzodinma Girls remained resolute to share the spoils after the final whistle.
