Rivers Angels get another two million naira courtesy of the Rivers State commissioner for Sports, Barrister Chris Green after their matchday 2 win over Edo Queens on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Jewel of Rivers defeated Edo Queens 2-1 on Monday in the Nigeria Women Football League Super Six tournament at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegao.

After the match, the announcement of 2 million naira cash reward was made to the players and officials who went into a frenzy mood courtesy of the Sport commissioner.

It will be recalled that a similar gesture was extended to the ladies who played out a 1-all draw against host, Bayelsa Queens on matchday 1 of the Super six on Saturday.

Rivers Angels are top on the log with 4 points ahead of their rivals Bayelsa Queens with a better goal difference after 2 matches.
