NPFL Youth League: Doma, Rangers, Lobi, Plateau, Bayelsa, Remo start on a winning note

The Nigeria Premier Football League youth league began on Thursday with matches 4 teams each in 5 groups at the 5 match centres which saw wins for Doma United, Plateau United, Lobi Stars, Remo Stars, Bayelsa United and Rangers International U-17 teams, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Ekiti centre saw enthralling encounters with mouth watering goals as Remo Stars had to come from behind to beat 3SC 3-2 while Sporting Lagos and Sporting Lagos settled for a 2-2 draw.

A brace from Daniel Arierhi and another strike off the boot of Aribo Faith saw the young Sky Blue Stars U17 boys defeat Shooting Stars 3-2.

A first half goal from Nathaniel Origbare saw Bayelsa United defeat Akwa United while Rivers United and Bayelsa United settled for a 2-2 draw at the Port Harcourt centre.

In Enugu, Enyimba and Abia Warriors also played out a 2-2 draw while John Aniete's goal gave Ranger International a 1-0 win against Heartland FC.

At the Lafia centre, Plateau United defeated Niger Tornadoes 4-0 while Lobi Stars edged Kwara United 3-2.

Kano Pillars and Katsina United shared the spoils playing out a goalless draw while Doma United got a walkover victory over Gombe United who failed to show up at the Kaduna centre.
