NPFL: Sporting Lagos stage comeback to beat Akwa United, Rangers edge Remo Stars

Sporting Lagos earned a vital win to aid their relegation fight with another win at home against strugglers, Akwa United while Rangers International piped Remo Stars to their second consecutive league match on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Suleiman Sani had put the Promise Keepers ahead in the 51 minute of the game after a barren first half, but Tochukwu Michael brought the Noisy Lagosians back to the game 83rd minute.

Michael completed the comeback on 90 minutes to seal the win for Sporting who move to 13 position with 27 points while Akwa United are 18 position with 21 points.

In Enugu, Rangers International earned a hard fought 1-0 win over Remo Stars courtesy a well taken free kick by Kenechukwu Agu on 55 minute.

Two goal from Ekeson Okorie in the 45th minute and the 63rd minute gave Bayelsa United over Doma United and their second win on the bounce to move to 14 position on the log.

Sunshine Stars returned to winning ways with win over league leaders, Lobi Stars. Temitope Vincent on 15 minute and Chigozie Iwundu on 32 minutes.
