In Minna, Remo Stars fell to a 2-1 loss to Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.

Godstime Joseph put Tornadoes in front after 26 minutes before Papa Daniel doubled the lead in 40 minutes to make sure the hosts entered the dressing room for halftime with a 2-goal lead.

The home side held on to the lead until Michael Ibe pulled one back after two minutes of additional time following the exhaustion of 90 minutes.
