According to the chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, the new season will start on Sunday, 31 August, 2024.
No further details was given by the league body on the date as many enthusiasts worry if the date will not change as it has always been the case.
Though Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi said ”We have the dates and fixtures of the 2024/25 NPFL season ready but we need to call a congress of the club owners to ratify it, as we can not jump the gun”
It will be recalled the 2023/2024 NPFL ended on Sunday, 23 June, 2024 with Rangers International emerging champions.
