NPFL LaLiga U-15 Promise: All last 8 spots secured as group stage ends

After match day 7, the 8 teams that progressed to the quarter finals of the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise tournament have been ascertained, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Akwa United, Enyimba FC, Sunshine Stars, Plateau United, El Kanemi Warriors, Wikki Tourist, Shooting Stars and reigning champions, Remo Stars Beyond Limits have all made it to last 8 of the tournament.

Beyond Limits Football Academy ended the group stage with maximum 9 points following their last match win against Bayelsa United on Thursday at the Remo Stars Stadium.

Opeyemi Yusuf's brace in the first half and second half gave the Ikenne side the win against Bayelsa United.

The group A leaders were joined by second place, Plateau United that have six points after winning two matches against Bayelsa United and Lobi Stars.

In group B, Akwa United defeated Doma United by two goals to one to secure quarter final qualification on Thursday.

Ofofon James opened score for Akwa, but AbdulRahman Mahmud drew Doma level before Akanimo Johnson won the match in the second half for Akwa.

Akwa United finish with 7 points and  are joined in qualification by Sunshine Stars which have six points.

Enyimba FC U-15 team progressed to the next round despite a 2-0 loss to Wikki Tourist in the first game of the day.

Olatunji Onasanya and Olarenwaju Ayobami combined goals in either half of the game ended 10-men Enyimba's unbeaten run in tournament.

The two teams qualify in the group with Enyimba finishing top with 6 while Wikki Tourist finish with 4 points.

Group D saw Shooting Stars and El Kanemi Warriors qualify after garnering 7 and 5 points respectively.

Sunshine Stars U-15
The two teams played against each other on Thursday in the last game of the group, playing a one all draw at the end.

Dauda Musa scored in the 8th minute for El Kanemi Warriors before Lateef Rasheed  drew level in the 45th minute.
