Rivers United locked horns with Enugu Rangers today as the pair played out a 0-0 draw. If Rivers United had got all three points, they could have won the league title if Gombe United get all three points tomorrow at the New Jos Stadium against Plateau United.

This result today gives Plateau United little hope to catch up with Rivers United and clinch the title from The Pride of Rivers but a whole lot of work and luck is needed for that to materialize. Plateau United could cut the gap with Rivers United to eight points if they win their match against Gombe United on Sunday.

With four match days to go and twelve points left to gather after tomorrow, all eyes will be at the New Jos Stadium to see if Plateau United can put pressure on Rivers United for the NPFL title. Rivers United will be hoping that results don't go Plateau United's way against Gombe United tomorrow and Akwa United on the 26th which will see The Pride of Rivers lift the NPFL title with a win against Nassawara United on the 26th.
