NPFL: Doma United return to winning ways as Osayi keeps 12th clean sheet of the season

Doma United returned to the summit of the NPFL after defeating Heartland 1-0 at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday evening, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The Savannah who fell to a first defeat in 10 games on Sunday against Lobi Stars quickly put behind them the setback as they pip the Naze Millionaires by a lone goal.

Nelson Abia scored the only goal of the encounter in the 42nd minute to help Doma United record their 8th win of the campaign to move two points off second place Remo Stars who have played a game less.

They remain top of the log till the outcome of tomorrow's top clash between their two closest rivals Remo Stars and Lobi Stars.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Osayi Kingdom kept his 12th clean sheet of the campaign in the encounter. Kingdom who has been outstanding in the goal since the start of the season made series of saves to deny the visitors from getting a goal in Gombe.

Still surprised he wasn't listed by Jose Peseiro in the 41-man list submitted to CAF for next year's AFCON, Osayi Kingdom put up his usual masterful display in goal, commanding his area perfectly as Doma kept their 12th clean sheet out of 15 games played so far this season.
