The NPFL revealed that a temporary halt in the season is scheduled after matchday 34 to facilitate Rivers United in fulfilling their outstanding matches.
This decision stems from Rivers United's backlog of fixtures owing to their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Pride of Rivers have six outstanding league games.
Furthermore, the re-arrangement is prompted by the involvement of several NPFL clubs in the Federation Cup, necessitating the rescheduling of matchdays 35 to 38 for a later period.
