Olamide Shodipo continues to impress for Championship side Queens Park Rangers at pre-season training.
The Republic of Ireland youth-teamer started for QPR in their 1-0 win victory over Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in a scrimmage held in Holland on Friday, lasting 63 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced.
The 19-year-old offered a threat going forward and would have given Rangers the lead in the eighth minute but was denied by PSV netminder Jeroen Zoet.
In his post match comments, Shodipo told www.qpr.co.uk.: “The win will do our confidence good. It’s a big boost to beat a team like PSV, even if it is only a pre-season friendly.
“Winning helps the confidence, so we’re really pleased.”
Seb Polter netted from the penalty spot five minutes out of intermission to win the game for Queens Park Rangers.
