Nigeria-eligible forward, Imade Edna scores, gets a penalty in Cacereno's draw
Nigeria-eligible striker, Imade Edna recorded a goal for Cacereno in their 2-2 draw against DUX Logrono in the second-tier Primera Federacion Iberdrola, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Edna scored the first equalizer in a match where her side had to come back from behind twice at the Manuel Sánchez Delgado on Sunday.
She equalled score for the Host in the 60th minute after Cacereno were on the back foot following Ivory Coast’s Kakounan Amani's goal in the first minute of the game for the Visitors.
Thereafter, Amani restored Logrono’s lead two minutes later, but Edna was brought down in the 65th minute as the centre referee gave the penalty to Cacereno which Angie Castañeda scored to bring the game to equilibrium.
Edna's goal account increases to ten after 25 matches, putting her second on the scorers' chart behind Barcelona B’s Ariana Arias who has 14 goals.
The result leaves Logrono and Cacereno in sixth and seventh position respectively after garnering 41 points.
