Germany qualified for the 2022 World Cup with a 4-0 win against North Macedonia on Monday, despite a slew of errors.

Kai Havertz scored the game's first goal in the 50th minute, and Timo Werner's quickfire double helped Germany make up for a 2-1 setback to North Macedonia in Duisburg in March – the one blemish on an otherwise flawless qualifying campaign that saw Germany win seven of its eight games in Group J.

In the 83rd minute, Jamal Musiala scored Hansi Flick's fourth goal, which was set up by fellow replacement Karim Adeyemi.

With two sets of games remaining, Germany has extended its advantage in the group to an insurmountable eight points. Since taking over from Joachim Löw following the European Championship last summer, Flick has supervised five victories.
