This followed the mutual departure of coach Salisu Yusuf, who left the Lafia-based side to join a Benin Republic team.

A release from the media team of the Solid Miners, Ayuba signed a two-year deal to bolster the performance of the team as the Nigeria Premier Football League season begins this August.

Mbwas, 47, brings vast coaching experience from stints with Heartland, Wikki Tourists, Enugu Rangers, and most recently, Plateau United, whom he led to a 7th-place finish. A CAF B license holder, Mbwas is also a decorated former player, having featured for clubs across Nigeria, Europe, Asia, and South America.
