Italian Serie A side, SSC Napoli yesterday revealed on its official website that the Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has suffered a problem with his left adductor, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
He was subjected to tests which has since shown a lesion. Although the condition of the former Lille striker will be evaluated next week but his club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed the striker will be out for a “couple of weeks.”
“He should be out for a couple of weeks, we hope,” said the President.
With this, Osimhen will the battle at the San Siro against AC Milan and miss the first leg of Napoli’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against same AC Milan at the San Siro.
The 24-year-old has scored 25 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
