Mohammed Gargo rubbishes invitation to appear before Ghana FA's Ethics Committee over betting claims
BA United coach Mohammed Gargo has rubbished his invitation to appear before the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association over his infamous betting claims against BA United players.
The former Ghana international says he will not appear before the committee to explain the betting allegations he made against his players.
Gargo has been hauled before the Ethics Committee over the online betting accusation against his players, claiming their deep-seated involvement has affected their performance in the Ghanaian to-flight.
But the ex-Udinese star has called off the bluff of the Ghana FA claiming he has no contractual obligation with the Sunyani-based side to explain his comment.
“I will not appear before any committee before I’m not the coach of BA United,” he told Happy FM
“Did they tell you I have signed a contract with them (BA United).?
“The address attributed to me is wrong and so I will not be there. I have not signed a contract with the club so how do they invite me as BA United coach? I won’t be there.”
The 39-year-old courted controversy over the weekend when he publicly accused his players of betting their Premier League matches away.
The comment attracted the attention of the Ghana FA, leading to his invitation to appear before the Ethics Committee to explain his comment.
