According to the Denver Post, Colorado Rapids midfielder Cole Bassett has reportedly rejected the advances of an European giant in order to stay with the club in MLS and fight for the title. However, it is in his intention to move to Europe soon, that is, if another offer does come his way.
The 20-year-old talent was the subject of a potential transfer when Benfica made an offer before the transfer window shut close in Europe on August 31.
Bassett recently commented: “Every year that I’ve been here, we’ve gotten better progressively over the years and I think we’re up for a trophy this year.”
