Miguel Herrera was officially announced as Tigres' new manager last week, and the rambunctious manager did not wait to give his opinion on a couple of Frenchmen when asked about comparing Tigres new acquisition Florian Thauvin and former America player Jeremy Menez:

"Jeremy arrived to Club America as a player that was widely known internationally; the truth is that after a few games I realized that his work rate was horrible, he was a lazy player. Florian instead is not so well known but he's a true player: he runs and his work rate is fantastic."

Herrera managed Menez while at Club America for two years, in 2018 and 2019. Menez played only in 18 matches and scored just 5 goals for las Aguilas. Thauvin has yet to don the Tigres colors, but he's already one of the most talked-about players for the upcoming tournament.
