Kwadwo Asamoah is expected to resume full scale training in two weeks to hand Ghana a massive boost ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
The Juventus ace has been sidelined with a knee injury for more three months which ruled him out of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The 26-year-old has been working out in the gym to speed up his return to action and will begin full training session with the squad in a fortnight.
However, Asamoah will still have to wait a little longer to return to the international stage as he is billed to miss the Black Stars friendly games against Mali and Senegal in France this month.
But the former Udinese man will be available for selection ahead of the next international FIFA sanctioned friendly games between June 8 and 16.
The return of the versatile player will delight Ghana coach Avram Grant as he will bring his quality to bear on the team.
He is hugely regarded as the most creative force in the current Black Stars set-up and will be influential during the qualifiers.
