Defensive teammate Kyle Walker was quick to pay homage to the prodigious young Brazil striker in the aftermath, borrowing a line from Rafiki the baboon, of "The Lion King" fame.

Walker also spliced in a photo of himself holding Gabriel aloft, just as Rafiki presented little Simba to the awed inhabitants of Pride Rock in the classic Disney animated movie.

Truly, truly inspirational stuff.
