“Maikaba has quit Wikki and he is now strongly linked with another premier league side, Abia Warriors,” a source informed.

Former Enyimba and Kano Pillars coach Maikaba guided Wikki within whisker of playing international football next year with a bunch of rookies and a shoe-string budget.

The coach, who has also been linked with Sunshine Stars, had demanded an improved contract from Wikki.

He is now likely to replace Ladan Bosso, who quit Abia Warriors at the end of the season.
