The Chief Executive Officer of the League Management Company ( LMC) Davidson Owumi visited the camp of one of Nigeria's representative in the CAF Confederation Cup; Remo Stars and urged them to do their best in the upcoming competition.
Remo Stars alongside Kwara United will represent Nigeria in the Confederation Cup and Owumi made them understand how it's important for them to reach the group stage of the tournament.
"Preliminary stage is just a starting point when entering the group stage you start earning dollars and that is where you start counting points for Nigeria.
"We are very serious in Abuja to making sure that you do well and whatever we can give the team in terms of logistic support, we will give to make sure that you don't fail because if you fail, Nigeria football failed.
" If you can get us to the group stage, you will get us good points if not after this year Nigeria's slot will be reduced to one team in both the Champions League and Confederation Cup and we don't want it that way.
"So gentlemen you are playing for yourself, Remo Stars and Nigeria because when you get to Morocco they sing the national anthem for you, so you must give your best," he said.
The Sky Blue Boys will face AS FAR of Morocco in the preliminary round of the Confederation Cup.
