Leon Balogun will miss Super Eagles friendly against Uganda in Asaba on Tuesday after he was allowed to return to Europe, officials have said.

The Brighton central defender will therefore be the only one from the 23-man squad for the vital 2019 AFCON in South Africa who will not be available tomorrow in Asaba.
Like the Super Eagles, Uganda have also qualified for next year’s AFCON in Cameroon after they pipped visiting Cape Verde 1-0 at home on Saturday

The Nigerian delegation arrived in Asaba yesterday afternoon on a chartered flight ahead of the friendly tomorrow.
