The Lega Serie A announces the creation of the "Serie A Ambassadors", a team of legends who have made Serie A great and who will represent Italian football in the events organised by the Lega Serie A. The first Top Players to join the project will be Vincent Candela, Ciro Ferrara, Marco Materazzi, Andriy Shevchenko, Luca Toni, Francesco Totti, Christian Vieri and Gianluca Zambrotta.
The Ambassadors will be involved primarily in social responsibility projects, bringing their image and experience to support CSR activities and to promote positive messages. They will also be the business card of Serie A in the world, taking part in initiatives with international broadcasters and other activities with the various commercial partners of the Lega Serie A.
Tomorrow evening the first call-up of the Serie A Ambassadors will be in the stands at the Mapei Stadium:

"It was our goal to get the legends of the past permanently involved in the promotion of the Serie A. We were spoiled for choice as the best players of all time played in our league. Serie A has such a large following because of the technical and human quality of its players, - said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo. - Football has always been a powerful vehicle to convey messages. The Ambassadors will have the task of involving fans in Italy and the rest of the world by making them experience Serie A and all its social and commercial activities. We are happy with the current squad, but we will soon be making new signings.”
