The 27-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2011, has penned a three-year contract at The City Ground.

Jenkinson only featured in 41 Premier League games for Arsenal during his eight-year stay at the club but he also enjoyed loan spells at West Ham United and Birmingham City.

He has made one appearance for England - in November 2012 when he came on as a 74th-minute substitute for Glen Johnson in a 4-2 friendly defeat against Sweden.

Forest, who finished ninth in the Championship last term, are 13/2 to be promoted this season and 13/2 to beat Leeds United at Elland Road this weekend. Leeds are available at 11/4 to win the Championship title in 2019/20 after being beaten in the play-offs by Derby County last season.

Since the end of last term, Lamouchi has signed Sammy Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Yuri Ribeiro, Albert Adomah and Samba Sow on permanent deals while Alfa Semedo, Rafa Mir and Arijanet Muric have arrived on loan arrengements.

A host of players have left the club this summer including Ben Osborn, Stephen Henderson and Panagiotis Tachtsidis.
