Striker Kwesi Appiah admits he struggled a bit to fully adjust when he first arrived in the Ghana camp.

The 24-year-old is yet to make his competitive debut for the Black Stars after gaining a surprise call up to the team for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Appiah has been limited to bench warming duties with the Black Stars at the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.

The Crystal Palace hitman admits he struggled to get used to the pace of the team when he first arrived as he prepares himself for an anticipated call from coach Avram Grant for his competitive debut.

“In Ghana obviously it took me a bit more of time to adjust to the pace but in Spain I was able to find my feet and integrate well,” he said.

Appiah scored in his first game for Ghana – the friendly win over second tier Portuguese club Olhanense.
