Kun Khalifat FC President and CEO, Michael Amaefula, has called for stronger fan support as the Pride of Imo prepare for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday four fixture against El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri. reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The fixture is scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the team’s adopted home ground, the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, as Kun Khalifat FC continues to adjust away from their traditional base in Owerri.
Amaefula emphasized the importance of fans’ presence and energy in Aba, describing it as a vital motivator for the team in their pursuit of a first-ever NPFL victory.
“I once again thank our fans and supporters for the show of love and solidarity. I want our fans to calm down and pray for us. We will do everything possible to make them happy. I am urging the fans to come out in massive numbers to support us, we are 100% ready. Sunday’s game will be a tough one, but we are going for maximum points,” Amaefula told Nigeriasoccernet.com.
He added that the fans’ involvement should go beyond football, symbolizing resilience and unity.
“KKFC fans, let’s make this a celebration, not just of football, but of resilience and community spirit as we chase our first-ever NPFL win. You waved the flags! You sounded the trumpets! And you cheered us to being among the top fighters in the NPFL. We know you miss Owerri, but we want you to get louder in Aba. Bring your energy on Sunday, let’s win together,” he said.
Kun Khalifat FC will be hoping to bounce back strongly in front of their supporters as they face a resilient El Kanemi Warriors side in what promises to be a thrilling NPFL encounter.
