Asante Kotoko’s General Manager Opoku Nti insists the club is yet to sign midfielder Jackson Owusu despite admitting to advanced talks.
The 21-year-old is a free agent having secured his floating status from the Ghana FA on Thursday.
Kotoko are in advanced talks with the former Berekum Chelsea player over a reported three-year deal.
Reports have sufficed that the midfielder has agreed to terms and has even signed onto the three-year deal.
But Kotoko’s General Manager Opoku Nti says the club is yet to conclude the deal for Jackson.
“We have not yet signed Jackson Owusu,” Nti told MTNFootball.com.
“We are in talks. We asked him to sort out his status as a player with the GFA and then return to the negotiation table with us.”
Jackson last played for Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.
He was part of Ghana’s team that emerged runner’s up at the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa.
