Schalke 04 star Kevin-Prince Boateng has turned 28 on Ghana's Independence Day celebration.
The suspended Black Stars midfielder was born on March 6, 1987 and turned 28 coincidentally on the day of Ghana's Independence Day.
European giants AC Milan took to their Twitter page to congratulate their former player on his birthday.
Milan had earlier in the week sent goodwill messages to duo Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari.
Ghana internationals including Jonathan Mensah and Rashid Sumaila took to Twitter to congratulate the player on his birthday.
Boateng himself tweeted: "So many messages, thank u all so so much!Happy to have true fans, friends and family ???????? #mjvoice #loveyouall".
Strangely Boateng failed to talk about Ghana's Independence Day celebration on his Twitter page as his relationship with the West African's national team is on a near collapse after he was suspended by the nation's football association.
