Through their official Twitter account, Pumas UNAM announced that Juan Iturbe and Facundo Waller will leave the team for the upcoming season. In a short tweet, the team thanked the Paraguayan and the Uruguayan for their effort while at Pumas:

"Thanks Facu! Thanks Juan! Facundo Waller and Juan Iturbe terminate their contract with our Club. Wish them both luck in their next endeavors!" Waller arrived at the club from Nacional de Montevideo in 2020, and played for the Mexico City side in 33 occasion, scoring a single goal. Juan Iturbe had been at Pumas since 2018, but could never find that form that had seen him play in Europe for sides like AS Roma and Hellas Verona. He scored only 8 goals in 82 appearances for the club.
