Alex Iwobi's third Premier League goal of the season proved to be a mere consolation as Fulham were thrashed 4-1 by struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Iwobi opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but the visitors responded strongly, equalising before half-time and then scoring three more goals after the break to seal a convincing victory.

Fellow Nigeria international Calvin Bassey played the entire 90 minutes for Fulham and was booked in first-half stoppage time.

The defeat leaves Fulham ninth in the Premier League table with 18 points from 12 matches, while Wolves climbed out of the relegation zone with nine points.
