Alex Iwobi has been handed a new long-term deal by Arsenal following his impressive performance in the past days.
According to reports in England, the 19-year-old has agreed a new contract that will see him stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2021.
The new deal for the Nigerian international will see him earn three times his previous wages. Iwobi is now set to net £30,000 per week from the five-year contract.
The teenager has formed a seamless partnership with Arsenal senior players, and it was evident in the Barclays Premier League games at Everton and against Watford in which he combined well with Chilean forward, Alexis Sanchez.
The youngster, who can play as a wideman or a midfielder, had only signed an improved deal last October worth around £10,000 a week until 2019.
Iwobi has made 15 appearances for the Gunners this season in all competitions. He has scored twice, in the Premier League, and helped with an assist in the FA Cup.
