Nigeria's star striker, Victor Osimhen has expressed delight for the win over Cote D'Ivoire in the African Cup of Nations group A match on Thursday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen stated that he felt happy and thinks that it was important to make that statement win at the Alassane Quattara Stadium Abidjan.
The Napoli man who emerged the man of the match spoke to pressmen after the award, revealing that the Super Eagles deserved the win.
"Feels good, it was important to make a statement win. We are happy about the result. We will continue to build on this momentum, respect to the Cote D'Ivoire team they played a good game also, but I think we deserve this win more." He said.
The win over the host nation takes Nigeria to second in group A, reviving their campaign after starting the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.
