Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Akwa United will be without their creative midfielder Cyril Olisema when they take on league rivals, Wikki Tourist in the Federation Cup on Thursday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Olisema, according to Daily Post, picked up an ankle injury in the first half of his team’s 3-1 Nigeria Premier Football League win against Kwara United on Monday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
This thereby will force the talented midfielder to sit out tomorrow when the Promise Keepers take on the Bauchi Elephants at the University of Enugu Stadium, Enugu in the round of 64 tie.
Akwa United won the competition for the second time in 2017 and will be hoping to rescue the title back to Uyo when they take on Wikki Tourist.
