Real Madrid are expected to send a strong delegation to this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, ending a two-year absence from the event.
According to L’Equipe, several Real Madrid players will attend as the Spanish club changes its approach to the awards ceremony.
Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Marc Cucurella are among the players listed as contenders for the main individual prize from Real Madrid.
The club withdrew from the 2024 ceremony at the last moment after learning that Rodri would win the award ahead of Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid again largely ignored the event the following year. Caroline Weir was the only representative from the club on that occasion.
The ceremony will take place on Monday, 26 October, the day after El Clasico.
