Manu Kone became only the fifth Roma player to score twice before half-time in a Serie A match after his goals helped the club draw 2-2 with Inter.
The fixture was the main match of Saturday’s schedule in the Italian top flight, with Kone finding the net twice in the opening period for the Rome-based side.
He now joins a select group of Roma players to have achieved the feat. Roberto Pruzzo was the first, doing so in 1980, before Francesco Graziani repeated it in 1986.
Argentine striker Abel Balbo became the third player to score two first-half goals for Roma in Serie A, achieving the landmark in 1995.
Francesco Totti was the most recent player to do so before Kone, scoring twice in the first half in 2013.
Roma’s next Serie A fixture will be away against Como on the eleventh of October.
