Gabriel Jesus turned down Barcelona before joining Manchester City

Barcelona forward Gabriel Jesus could have joined the Catalan club much earlier in his career.

Barcelona showed interest in the Brazilian striker while he was playing for Palmeiras in his homeland, but Jesus chose to move to Manchester City instead.

The 1 September signing saw Barcelona acquire Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal. Before his move to London, Jesus represented Manchester City from the start of 2017 until the middle of 2022.
