Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says the club’s decline since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013 cannot be blamed solely on changes in the dugout.

Ferdinand criticised the state of Manchester United, saying the club is currently “on their knees”. He believes the team’s difficulties are also linked to the way it is being run.

The former England international also said Manchester United’s current players face additional pressure because of constant criticism from former players appearing in the media and posting on social media.
