Akor Adams has shared his thoughts following Sevilla’s hard-fought 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Sevilla, managed by Luis García Plaza, ended a three-match losing streak in La Liga with the important victory at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
Adams, who opened the scoring for the hosts, emphasized the importance of securing all three points and building momentum for the remainder of the season.
“We gave 100% and achieved our objective, which was the three points. The fans’ support was incredible; it gave us a great energy,” he told the club’s official website.
“We play for them, and if we’re all like this, we’ll be happy every week,” the Nigerian international added.
The forward also spoke about his well-taken penalty, revealing that it was something he had worked on in training and executed with confidence, backed by the trust of his teammates.
Adams further praised the collective effort of the squad, highlighting the performances of his teammates across the pitch as Sevilla secured a crucial result.
“Everyone played a good game, Manu and Agoumé in midfield, Castrín at the back, and everyone else. We all achieved our goal,” he said.
