Sevilla’s latest addition, Chidera Ejuke has revealed he is eager to play for the the Super Eagles after becoming the first Nigeria international to join the La Liga outfit, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The winger moved to Sevilla on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with CSKA Moscow.
Ejuke spent the last campaign on loan at Royal Antwerp, where he managed five goals and six assists in 39 appearances.
The winger while speaking to club’s media explained how special it is being the fist Nigerian to make the move to the Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
“It is special to be the first Nigerian here. I think I feel good being part of this team and I am looking forward to seeing what I can contribute to the team,” he said.
Ejuke who has only eight caps for the Nigeria’s Super Eagles is also looking forward to more time with the national team.
“I also hope to be able to back with Nigeria, because obviously it’s always nice to represent your country, so I hope it’s time to do it again and I’m also very excited.”
