Newly appointed Coach of Heartland FC, Emmanuel Amuneke is confident of turning things around for the Coach after his unveiling by the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Emmanuel Amuneke was ppointed as the head coach of Heartland FC by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma on Monday.
The former Tanzania national team Coach was unveiled at the Government House of Imo State.
The 2015 U-17 World Cup winning manager who's last job was at Egypt’s Misr Lel Makkasa in 2021 spoke enthusiastically following his appointment.
"I do not involve myself in something that I am not capable of doing.
"I remember when I was unveiled as the coach of Tanzania one of the things I told them was that we would qualify for AFCON 2019 but everybody thought it was a joke but eventually we did".
He promised the governor of making sure Heartland who was relegated last season will return to its glory days.
"Your Excellency I am promising you on behalf of myself and the entire Heartland FC that we are going to do our best to ensure Heartland FC returns to its former enviable position".
Amuneke's contract details has not been known as at the time of this report.
