Ahead of their World Cup Qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Warriors of Zimbabwe Coach Michael Nees has revealed his opponents are beatable, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The two sides head into the encounter with a point separating them and a win paramount in their hearts if they are to hope for qualification.
The Eagles have struggled so far, garnering just 3 points in four matches, finding themselves in 5th position. Nees says can make the situation worse for Nigeria.
“Everybody knows Nigeria are better than their current position and our positions are similar,” the 57-year-old German said on Brila FM.
“For Nigeria to turn things around, they have to perform, but I believe they are beatable in Uyo.”
There was nothing to choose between the two sides when they played in November 2023, where it ended 1-1.
Nigeria will play Zimbabwe four days after traveling to Kigali to play Rwanda at the end of March at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium.
