The 32-year-old, who replaced Gonzalo Higuain in the 82nd minute of the Blues' 3-0 FA Cup fourth-round victory against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, moved from Montpellier to Arsenal in 2012.

He signed for Chelsea 12 months ago but has struggled for goals during his time at Stamford Bridge and has only started six Premier League games this season.

Giroud has been linked with a switch to Marseille, who have signed Mario Balotelli this month, and Lyon.

"Marseille, Lyon, these are two great clubs, I have never ruled out a return to France," Giroud said.

"I said at the time that my priority was to stay in the Premier League, that's still the same, but we will see."

Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has handed in a transfer request after being the subject of a bid from Bayern Munich, scored against the Owls while Willian grabbed a brace, with one of his goals coming from the penalty spot.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has allowed Victor Moses to join Fenerbahce on an 18-month loan deal this month while Alvaro Morata has passed a medical with Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea are 9/2 to win the FA Cup this season and 4/6 to beat Bournemouth in their next Premier League match on Wednesday.
