Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah has rated Enoch Adu Kofi as one of the best performing foreign-based players in the year 2014.
The Malmo FF midfielder failed to make the final cut in Ghana’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations having been included in the initial 31-man provisional roster.
Kofi finished his domestic campaign in Belgium with a league and cup double.
The former Nordsjaelland man also played for Malmo in the prestigious UEFA Champions League.
He was however overlooked for a spot in Ghana’s final squad for the 2015 AFCON despite being the most active Ghanaian foreign-based player in recent years.
Gideon Baah who himself was not considered for selection into the Black Stars squad despite enjoying an improved season with Finish champions HJK Helsinki considers Adu Kofi as one of the best in his year under review.
“I was watching him in the Champions League,” he told Starr FM.
“Fortunately for me, I had an opportunity to play against him in a friendly before they (Malmo) faced Atletico Madrid in Sweden.
“He did really well in 2014 and I think he is an all-round defensive midfield player.”
