The Black Stars are without top stars such as Kevin-Prince Boateng, Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Kwadwo Asamoah for Africa’s flagship tournament.

US-based goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, striker Abdul Majeed Waris and defender Daniel Opare have all been left out.

Muntari and Kevin-Boateng are serving suspension while Michael Essien has been overlooked for his perceived role which led to Ghana’s World Cup campaign last year.

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has asked to be excused from international duty after he clashed with goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu while Waris, Asamoah and Opare are all out injured.
