Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo is delighted with his return to action for Sogndal after a three-week injury layoff.
The 23-year-old came on as a second half replacement for Jim Johansen to great effect to help the side to a 2-1 win over Honefoss in the Norwegian second tier match played on Sunday.
Otoo has been out with a thigh strain for the past three-weeks – an injury which forced him out of Ghana’s squad for the friendly matches against Senegal and Mali.
The former Hearts of Oak captain is now delighted to have staged a return after his frustrating spell on the sidelines.
“I was very happy to be back on the pitch after a while out,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“”Everyone, the technical team, the fans and the players were also happy with my return. They say I changed the game when I came on.
“I felt very good to be back playing again.”
The win sees Sogndal rise to third after three round of games on the Norwegian top flight.
