The 23-year-old is down the pecking order behind Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew and Abdul Majeed Waris.

He had an impressive season with his former side Helsingborg IF last year where he scored 17 goals to finish second on the Swedish league scorers chart.

Accam, who has made Ghana’s provisional 26-man squad that will be training in Seville, says it has been difficult for him warming the bench in international football.

“Yes, I always get disappointed when I don’t get the chance to show what I can do, but you have to respect the decision of the national team coaches because they want the best for the country,” the Right To Dream graduate told TV3

Accam signed a lucrative deal with MLS side Chicago Fire before the turn of the year.
