Profligate Wa All Stars have themselves to blame suffering a 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions at the Wa Park.

Samuel Yeboah’s deadly finish on the 48th minute separated the two sides.

The home side started brilliantly and should have ended the first half with at least three goals only for Abdulai Nurudeen to either shoot wide or wayward.

The skillful Maxwell Baako “Messi”, tormented the defensive unit of heart of lions in the first half with sheer delight and pleasure, only for his strikers to miss sitters after sitters.

The dominant nature of the home side was seen in their eight chances created as against two by the travelling contingents.

The 0-0 score line on the scoreboard really never reflected the true colour of the game, as the home side deserved much better than that.

The defenders of the home side misread a cross-field pass from Frank Akotto, as the clinical Yeboah duly punish them in front of their teaming and disgruntled fans.

The goal brought the life out of the home team, as incessant pressure from Jimmy Cobblah’s men won them a dubious penalty in the 56th minute.

The reliable Joseph Adjei dusted himself up confidently but sent his spot kick onto the cross bar.

The physical nature of the match was confirmed by the three bookings to the away side at the Wa Park.

The inspired Mozart Adjetey then took affairs into his own hands, as he denied the home side on numerous occasions.

It was the visitors fourth victory at the eighth time of asking.
