The Black Stars will play in the 4-3-3 formation when they take on the Eagles in their second friendly for this month's international break.

Ghana have been used to the 4-4-2 since Avram Grant took over the squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations played in Equatorial Guinea in February.

He used a similar formation against Senegal in Saturday's friendly in Le Havre with Jordan Ayew and Kwesi Appiah playing in attack.

The Israeli tactician says he will deployed three strikers in the match against Mali with three midfielders to play in the game while maintaining his back four.

The former Chelsea coach says the opportunity of a friendly will give him the chance to experiment with new tactics that might help the Black Stars in future.

“It’s a different target now to when in a tournament,” Grant said.

“In friendly matches, you have a chance to try different situations and different systems.

“Tomorrow we will start with the 4-3-3 and see how it goes.”

Mali lost their Wednesday's friendly meeting against Gabon 4-3 and would likely put up a fight against the Black Stars to avoid another debacle, with new coach Alain Giresse set to take over the outfit on April 1.
